1. Alex, please note that since you use Yahoo, and Yahoo imposes DMARC on its
users, your mail is liable to be tagged as spam after it is sent via a mailing
list. It is for example tagged as spam for all gmail recipients.

2. I'm pretty sure that the free speech meme arrived via usenet, but I'm
surprised to (re)discover that alt.* only dates back to 1987. Maybe somebody
should ask Steve Bellovin for his recollection.
