Good to see the cutover to TCP/IP from NCP on January 2, 1983 being
celebrated.
The TCP/IP Digest moderated by Mike Muuss contained an interesting
documentation of the problems and efforts that led up to and followed
the cutover. I have a draft paper on the digest at:
