If you are still seeing spam on your end, please review the 
configuration of your local spam filters. computer-history had 4 spams 
in the entire month of December 2003, internet-history had 6. If those 
are (a) getting past your filters and (b) 'excessive', you may indeed 
want to reconsider subscribing.

To those who want to continue this discussion, please find a list 
focused on mail list management and continue this thread there, not on 
these lists (before they are 'ruined' by off-topic meta-discussions of 
list management ;-)
