[Chapter-delegates] Vote For Ashirwad Tripathy for ChAC Steering Committee

Dear Chapter Advisory Council Members,


I am Ashirwad Tripathy; Chapter Advisory Council Steering Committee
candidate from Nepal Chapter and I request you to vote for me ChAC SC
member. I have been working to bridge socio-economic and digital divides by
empowering underprivileged communities to fulfill sustainable development
goals through grassroot project and policy advocacy since 2012 for Nepal
Asia pacific and beyond. I am an active member of Internet Society and
ICANN and the IGF Community.

I believe I can play a key role in ensuring that grassroots voices are
reflected in ISOC’s global priorities being in the steering committee so
that our collective can make a real impact. That’s my motivation to serve
in the Steering Committee. I hope with ChAC, I can achieve enhanced
collaboration among Chapters & ISOC to strengthen the multistakeholder
model; meaning more capacity-building initiatives and transparent,
inclusive governance within ChAC. I hope to contribute to the steering
committee by bringing my regional insights, leadership experience, and
commitment to community-driven Internet growth to help make ISOC’s network
stronger and more connected. I will also bring to represent the
perspectives of Chapters from developing and underrepresented regions,
particularly from the Asia Pacific.

At global level, I have chaired Internet Society’s Special Interest Group
on Internet for Education and at that time I have published white papers on
digital resilience and e-resilience in the education system with IEEE
Standards Association. I am also an Executive Committee Member of IEEE SA
IC Digital Resilience- Tools and Methods to Support Response and Recovery
from Crisis. At the regional level, I have been serving as the vice chair
of the Multistakeholder Steering Committee Asia Pacific regional Internet
Governance Forum for the second term. I also hosted the Asia Pacific School
on Internet Governance 2025 in Nepal. And at national level, I have also
been leading Internet Society Nepal Chapter and am Steering Committee
Member of Digital Freedom Coalition in Nepal.
