Dear Chapter Leaders,
I am honoured to be a candidate for the *2026 Chapters Advisory Council
(ChAC) Steering Committee*.
*My motivation for serving on the ChAC Steering Committee* stems from my
commitment to advancing *digital inclusion and Internet governance* across
communities. Through my experience as *Vice President and Public Relations
Board Member of the Internet Society Botswana Chapter*, I have led national
digital literacy initiatives, contributed to policy dialogues on cloud
computing and 4IR, and fostered stakeholder collaboration to bridge
connectivity gaps. I believe the ChAC provides a vital platform to
strengthen the global chapter ecosystem—enhancing knowledge exchange,
chapter empowerment, and sustainable impact in line with ISOC’s mission.
*My vision for the ChAC and chapter community by the end of 2026* is to see
a more *operationally mature, collaborative, and data-driven network of
chapters*. I would like to see chapters equipped with practical support
frameworks that enhance project delivery, promote inter-chapter
collaboration, and ensure measurable community outcomes. By prioritizing
capacity building, transparency, and stronger cross-regional cooperation, I
envision the ChAC becoming a dynamic platform that empowers chapters to
lead Internet growth and governance discussions locally and globally.
Thank you for your continued engagement and for fostering a strong chapter
community. I look forward to collaborating with you to advance our shared
vision of an open, globally connected, and secure Internet for all.
Warm regards,
*Benson Serara Motswetla, MSc, MEng*
