Candidate for the Internet Society’s Chapters Advisory Council Steering
Committee

As an academician and researcher with over 27 years of teaching and 15
years of research in networking, cybersecurity, Internet governance, and
emerging technologies, I am deeply committed to strengthening the Internet
as a safe, inclusive, and resilient space. My professional journey closely
aligns with the Internet Society’s mission of promoting an open and trusted
Internet for all.

I have had the honor of serving as the *Internet Society Chennai Chapter
Chair for four consecutive years*, during which I focused on expanding
chapter engagement, fostering community collaboration, and leading
initiatives that promoted technical and digital literacy. Additionally, I
served as the *overall India Coordinator* for organizing the *“Fundamentals
of Designing and Deploying Computer Networks”* program of ISOC, which
successfully built technical capacity among professionals and students
nationwide.

My broader involvement with APNIC, APrIGF, APSIG, inSIG, INNOG, ICANN and
IETF/APRICOT hackathons—as Programme Committee Chair, Fellowship Chair,
mentor, and steering committee member—has provided deep insight into
Internet governance processes and global community building.

With expertise in IPv6, DNS/DNSSEC, BGP, OSPF, and cybersecurity, I aim to
channel my technical and leadership experience into strengthening chapter
capacity, mentorship, and policy advocacy. I envision the Chapters Advisory
Council as a unifying platform that amplifies chapter voices, promotes
youth leadership, and drives impactful collaboration across regions.

By 2026, I aspire for the Council to be recognized as a catalyst that
transforms local initiatives into global impact—advancing ISOC’s mission of
an open, secure, and inclusive Internet for all.

meaningful change, strengthen our chapters, and serve our Internet
community with purpose and passion.
