Thanks all for your response, suggestions and consideration in this regard.
But as a VP of an ISOC chapter I totally failed to understand or use my
power.
if a president or Vice President of a chapter is not allowed or invited to
attend an important event being organized by an ISOC chapter, then i guess
there is no need of having a president or vice president for a chapter.
I am surprised to see that the secretary and officer from my chapter are
more important then president or VP, that they are included in all the
committees of inSIG2024: https://insig.in/insig-2024-committees/
Moreover there are some people who continuously manage to be present in
most of the past inSIG events: https://insig.in/past-editions/
Being a certified trainer for last 10 years, even I requested my core team:
https://isocindiabengaluru.org/wp/about-us/, to see if I can attend this
event as a speaker atleast, but i was being told that the participation in
this event is decided by inSIG organizers, so my questions to the inSIG
organizers is to make it sure to include President and Vice president
atleast in future inSIG events.
Rest I have made my mind that I will never ever get involved in any of the
activities being conducted by ISOC anytime in future. Wishing you all the
very best.
I wanted to give a little clarification on my side, to justify my decision
of resigning from this position
*“You can’t force someone to respect you, but you can refuse to be
disrespected.”*
regards,
Sheikh
