Dear Charles,
That is one of the reasons that the resilience grants exists at ISOC. No doubt preparedness is crucial to overcome the disaster. Chapters should submit their applications to the Foundation to develop such plans and reduce the impact. Thanks to you and Caleb for your efforts in letting the Foundation be aware of these needs.
Cheers,
Luis

Dear all, I also wonder if in the past ISOC or certain of its chapters have developed a set of guidelines to do in preparation before and after such natural disasters that are pending (hurricanes and typhoons are probably at least like you can get some warning of compared with let's say earthquakes). It may be one thing worthwhile for us including myself and Caleb to check with the Foundation and staff about any such experience, so in this or future occurrences chapters and local communities can be more quickly offered assistance. This may become more useful as we face more extreme weather conditions all over the world from climate change.
And of course, we hope for the best for our friends and communities and all the people in the region.
Charles

Just a word of concern for our Caribbean ISOC colleagues, especially those in SVG and Barbados, as they suffer the effects of Beryl the peril.
Trust all are well, and resilience plans were effective.
