Dear Ted,
Thank you for reaching out. I would like to submit two useful points for
the BT to consider
1. The ISOC should use chapter to build relationship with regulators and
policymakers as a doorway to influence policy making of the laws and
regulations that seeks to frustrate Internet Way of Networking etc.
2. ISOC should invest in number 1 by having a local Internet Policy Working
with local and International experts. The group will focus on policy and
regulatory issues on the ground for the purpose of always staying ahead of
the game as local Internet or digital policies evolve. To meet with
policymakers, technocrats and regulators requires objective funding. This
could be a permanent policy advocacy group for each chapter. The attacks on
Internet way of Internet does not start today. It is incremental and the
efforts to push back should also be incremental in the opposite direction.
In my opinion such move will make us more proactive and ready us to win the
battle before it even begin!
Again thank for reaching out
Nazar
