Hi Dan,

As the President of internet Society Sri Lanka chapter had a group
discussion and Kindly refer below feedback which I collected after
discussing with the 04 isoc.lk members who are interested about this out of
the four members I noticed Thusshara Senarathna is much keen enough about
this project.

Following Members also supported this.

Ravidu Dilshan ,Shehan Hansaka and Thilan

1. Of course we do believe that these facts will be important, because
already we are about to plan something similar to this. As per our
observation we can clearly see that, as a country of Sri Lanka very
difficult to find knowledgeable people about this also no one is not aware
about the opportunities available about this

2. That would be ideal if we can get the internet connection through LEO
satellite, because it will cover many more areas which are not covered by
the usual internet providers.

3. We need to think about the expenditure to develop such a method in a
country like Sri Lanka, because if it’s going to be very expensive it is
difficult to market such a solution.

4. Although the internet is all over Sri Lanka, there are many problems in
using the internet due to the lack of communication facilities with the
terrain. If the Internet can be provided through Leo Satellite then
Internet can be facilitated for difficult schools also and at the same
time, they should be given a free connection.

5. Internet society Sri Lanka chapter initiated "how to become an
Entrepreneur using internet" project, so Even new online entrepreneurs
might face difficulties in getting the internet facility unless we offer a
free connection. We should be able to provide the internet zone focussing
rural base method, in order to generate more accessible options in island
wide

6. In the same manner we can think about providing internet zone facilities
in most of the places visited by tourists, because it will be easy for them
to access the internet during their stay in Sri Lanka.
