I, too, am confused by this.  I have tried to register for the Community Week,
understanding that this will artificially increase participant numbers.
The registration insists on collecting "country" and "city" attributes without
giving a reason. Then, I tried to read the T&C for this event, just to learn
that I'd have to agree to a speakers contract that would grant a number of rights
to ISOC that I'm not prepare to grant.  (Don't mention the ICANN waiver ...)

During reading, I was interrupted by a popup saying

	Peter, you haven't finished registering for Community Week 2022!
	Finish registering before the event sells out!

until eventually the registration process was terminated (and me sent back to square one)
for my failure to complete on time.  I consider this highly inappropriate.

So, thank you, but no, thank you.  This ChAC call will have to proceed without me.
