While that wouldn't hurt, I don't see the point.

I can say from experience that recent nominations committees are very
aware of diversity issues and consider them when selecting a slate.
If you look at the slates they have nominated in recent years, that
should be self-evident.

I do wish that someone would engage with my question about the 2020
election, though. What is the value of presenting a slate of diverse
candidates if the voters don't want to vote for them?
