Dear Maimouna,

Thank you for your congratulations and communication. I appreciate a lot your efforts and those from the elections committee which resulted in an election with one of the highest participants rate in ISOC history. That is the true winner and it sets again the possibility to have an ISOC stronger for the near-future. I look forward to the beginning of my term and to work with BOT colleagues to contribute to a free and open Internet according to our principles. I want to remind all colleagues that my mail is open for any comments or constructive proposals and thank you again for your support

Gracias por tus felicitaciones y tu comunicación. Aprecio mucho sus esfuerzos y los del Comité de Elecciones que resultaron en una elección con una de las tasas de participación más altas en la historia de ISOC. Este es el verdadero ganador y vuelve a dar la posibilidad de tener un ISOC más fuerte en un futuro próximo. Espero comenzar mi periodo para trabajar con colegas de BOT para contribuir a una Internet libre y abierta de acuerdo con nuestros principios. Dear Chapter Leaders,




The Internet Society Elections Committee is pleased to announce the final results of the 2021 elections and the IETF selections for the Board of Trustees.




Voting concluded on 23 April. The results were announced and the challenge period was
opened on 26 April. The deadline to file challenges was 3 May at 15:00 UTC. No challenges were filed. Therefore, the election results announced on 26 April stand.




In the Chapters election, Luis Martinez has been elected to a 3-year term as Trustee.




The runner-up, Muhammad Shabbir, will be offered a 1-year term by Board appointment.




In the Organization Members election, Robert Pepper won re-election for a second 3-year term, and Paul Ebersman was elected for a 1-year term.




Also, following the process documented in RFC 3677, the Internet Architecture Board
has selected Brian Haberman and Jon Peterson on behalf of the IETF to serve on the Internet Society board for 3-year terms.




The terms of office for all of the new Trustees will commence with the Internet Society board's 2021 Annual General Meeting in July.




On behalf of the Elections Committee, I would like to congratulate all of the new Trustees and express our gratitude once more to all the candidates, the members of the Nominations and Elections committees, the IAB, and to everyone who participated in the process this year.
