Dear Chapter Leaders,

This is to provide you with more information on the Internet Society's 2021
Board of Trustees elections. As announced by Nominations Committee Chair
George Sadowsky, the final slate for the Chapters election is as follows*

Leiska Evanson
Luis Martinez
Glenn Carl McKnight
Rao Naveed Bin Rais
Muhammad Shabbir
Niels ten Oever

*The candidates are listed above in alphabetical order by last name.

In this year's election cycle, Chapters are asked to elect one (1) Trustee.
The winning candidate will serve a three-year term commencing in July 2021.

Separately, the Board, acting pursuant to its authority under Article II,
Section 1(d), has announced its intention to offer the runner-up in the
Chapters Election a one-year appointment as trustee.
This will restore the board to its usual complement of 12 voting members
comprised of equal numbers from all three communities: Chapters,
Organizational Members and the IETF. The number of voting members fell to
11 when Olga Cavalli recently resigned with one year remaining in her term.

An electronic ballot will be sent to the voting delegate of each eligible
Chapter on Friday, 9 April, officially marking the start of the election.
Voting delegates will have until Friday, 23 April 2021 at 15:00 UTC to cast
their ballots. If you do not know who the voting delegate for your Chapter
is, do not hesitate to contact Stine Philipsen, ISOC Chapters and
Individual Members Coordinator (philipsen at isoc.org).
