Dear Chapter/SIG Delegates,
Do you know future Internet champions?
The Internet is a resource of possibility and opportunity that has transformed our lives for the better. It’s where we collaborate, share ideas, and strengthen bonds. It’s where we work, learn, communicate, and innovate.

But increasingly, there are challenges to the fundamental principles that underpinned its creation, and the digital divide is still huge: only half of the global population is able to benefit from the opportunities it provides. Defending these principles and advancing access requires individuals with a special understanding of both technology and policy: The Internet Champions!

The Program will offer unparalleled access to world-class experts and resources. Our Fellows will develop their professional skills in leadership, communications, advocacy and project management.
Please, share this opportunity with those in your network who are early in their working career in the Internet ecosystem and might have a project idea that would grow and strengthen the Internet.

This new flagship program<https://www.internetsociety.org/blog/2021/03/shape-the-internets-future-with-the-early-career-fellowship/> has been specifically designed to empower a new, diverse generation of Internet champions who will bridge the gap between technology and policy, and become advocates for the open, globally connected, secure and trustworthy Internet. Each of the Fellowship cohorts will comprise fifteen (15) Fellows.

Given your extensive experience in the field and in your specific community, we would specifically appreciate your help in reviewing some of the applications we expect to receive for the Fellowship. This support will enable us to select the most suitable Fellows who will become Internet champions of the future.
