Dear Joyce,
Thanks for your update. I would suggest that current problems are published in a page within the portal, listing them and their status as I read many mails with similar issues.
Yours,
Luis Martinez

Subject: [Chapter-delegates] Problems with new membership system: Update 14 February 2019
Dear Colleagues,
Following Andrew Sullivan's message to you yesterday, I am writing with an update on the urgent work we are doing to resolve the difficulties you are experiencing with the MemberNova membership platform that we announced last month.
As Andrew noted, we have been focused on validating the data in the new system. This is a vital step in ensuring the integrity of that data to provide the necessary confidence to you and everyone who uses the platform that the data is accurate.
Here is where we are today:
* So far, we have not identified any data migration issues. However, there have been one or two instances of user roles not being properly mapped. We are addressing these on a case by case basis.
* Our updated membership numbers are a result of the steps taken for us to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that came into effect in 2018. If you'd like to find out more about this, please have a look at the presentation made during the Chapter Advisory Council call on September 2018. <https://isoc.box.com/s/4e3ib3ymh3aqvdg6mjokx26xycvnwsie>
* As of today we have just over 53,000 members.
* In terms of the functionality of the platform, we'll be reaching out on Tuesday 19 February with a fuller overview of what enhancements will be made to MemberNova and when. We're sorry some of this has not been well communicated and we are working to improve how we let you know we are making changes.
* We also recognise that we did not clearly articulate what functionality would be in Phase 1 and what will be in later phases. We are sorry for overlooking that in our planning and communications and we will be keeping you better informed of the process going forward.
If you have specific questions on individual queries or chapter data please email Malisa Haley, Senior Director, Strategic Planning and Operations, haley at isoc.org<mailto:haley at isoc.org> with your data migration inquiry and we will look at your specific issue.
Our intention with our new membership platform is to give you a modern, efficient and better method of running your Chapter and engaging with your community and the wider ISOC family. Please accept my apology for the issues your are experiencing. We are doing our utmost to resolve them as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
Thank you
Joyce Dogniez
