[Chapter-delegates] Sad loss of Lajos Bálint

Lajos was so brilliant. I was always delighted when he sat next to me at
early chapter co-ordination meetings. He was a true spirit of this
network world as well as a pioneer and guide to so many. The thing is he
shared the secret that you can build this stuff yourself. You don't need
to be reliant or disintermediated or fixated by the light of the
provider industry marketing spiel. The power of this stuff is in the
people and the capacity of people to take hold of the technologies and
their base and shape it to their needs in co-operation and mutual
respect. That needs sharing to work and an open mind and access. Those
are still essential qualities for us today and Lajos exemplified that
kind of societal technology entrepreneurialism. I can't say how much
I'll miss Lajos not being here.  We need Lajos and many more in his vein.

A big hug to his family and colleagues.
