Hi Brandt,
Thanks for your harsh reply. I have not seen your name before, looks like
you're in Ireland and I did see a first post to the list last year Jan.
When I searched for Irelands ISOC chapter web site I got to the Irish
Islamic Society web site. Anyways, have you used this portal.isoc system?
How often? For what purpose?
Seems like we differ in opinion since imho an organisation like ISOC global
(an NGO based on global members) should not be using an off the shelf
package for membership. It's core to their business. There are way too many
API requirements and so much that they can do to empower chapters and
distribute. I have always promoted the creation of an open source
distributed membership system. Happy to agree that such a system may use an
open framework, although generating 3000 lines of long code for a simple
page is truly bloated which if you have any experience and use the system,
I am you will understand!
