Dear All
It is my great pleasure to announce to you today that Nick Hyrka will join the European Regional Bureau team, on September 3- as our new Community manager- Europe.
Ceren Unal will fully transition to her new role of EU policy Manager within the EU Bureau at the same date.
Nick, whom I trust most of you already know, is based in Amsterdam and he comes with an invaluable experience from the technical community (RIPE NCC) as well as with a very impressive proven record in corporate communications and community relationship. He has over a decade of accountability and engagement management with a service region of 76 countries.
He will help us to offer better services to our community, chapters and members in Europe, to broadening our community as well as to stregthening the existing trust and extraordinary relationships that we have built over the last years with all our chapters and members in the region.
Nick obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Media and Literary Communications) in 2008 at the San Francisco State University (CA) and has been trained in crisis communications, internal communications, social media.
He speaks English, Dutch and (and a bit of) Spanish.
Please help me welcoming Nick in ISOC.
As I said his official start date is September 3 and you will be able to find him at "hyrka at isoc.org <mailto:hyrka at isoc.org>"
Best Regards
Frédéric
