The official announcement from the Swiss parliament will not be translated into English.
We will publish something in English on our ISCO-CH web site in due course, but Bernie’s summary below capture the gist of the matter.
Best,
Richard

While this is only an intermediary positive result, it is a very important step in the right direction, see below.

Subject: [ISOC-CH PubPol] Success regarding network blocking in Swiss legislation
Dear ISOC-CH Members
Please be informed that we have accomplished a success regarding network blocking in the new gambling law. The Commission of Legal Affairs of the National Council (Rechts-Kommisssion Nationalrat) kicks Network Blocking out of the Draft for the new Gambling Law. The strong collaboration between ISOC-CH und Digitale Gesellschaft has significantly contributed to the success. Our latest proposal, that we worked out in a coalition with DigiGes, Swico, ASUT, Economiesuisse and Google, appears to have passed; (the latter organizations have joined us just recently).
"Im neuen Geldspielgesetz 15.069 sollen nach dem Willen der
Rechtskommission des Nationalrats keine Internetsperren vorgesehen
werden. Die Veranstalter von in der Schweiz nicht bewilligten
Online-Geldspielen sollen aber von der Eidgenössischen
Spielbankenkommission verwarnt und allenfalls auch strafrechtlich
verfolgt werden."

The law is not finalized yet, It still has to pass the National Council and the State Council.
We keep on working on a good outcome.
All the Best,
Bernie Höneisen, ISOC-CH, Head of Public Policy
