Hi Glenn,

we have co-organized more than 15 cryptoparties in Catalonia with
@CryptoPartyBCN   CryptoParty.cat

We did it for free to low budget non for profits

These are workshops addressed to std. citizens with no previous
knowledge on security or privacy.
Duration: we adapt to requester's needs but we propose a minimum of 4 hours.
Workshop: attendees bring their own device/s and practice on them
Subjects:
- passwords: creation and management: Keepass
- mobile phone 5 top issues and how to protect
- browsers: strategies (use 2, etc) and configuration
plug-ins: uBlock origin, Privacy Badger, httpsEverywhere, NoScript,...
  dis/enable flash, java, etc
config privacy: cookies, history, private browsing, etc
- VPN and Tor browser: install, config and use
- Backups: when, where, how, etc
- Encrypt files: Veracrypt, hidden volume, etc
- Crypto.cat, Signal,
- Telegram and Whatsapp, what they do and do not do
- Encrypted email (create, use, distribute keys, etc)
unfortunately this is yet a bit complex to use for average std. user
so we do it depending on demand and audience needs

I can send you (or whoever in this list) the slides (in Catalan).
Slides are used as a guide but real content is said and practised by
attendees.

Do feel free to ask for more details

cheers
jordi
