[Chapter-delegates] Ensuring interoperability of data protection mechanisms and adoption of best practices at the national level

Agree that ISOC should take a more visible stance on the collection and use
(mis-use?) of Internet users' data, this goes to the 'Trust in the Internet'
issue. Both ISOC HQ and Chapters can help amplify the issue and raise awareness,
as well as support the development and promotion of privacy frameworks and best
practices.
ISOC-PH will be conducting a forum along these lines next month --

Noting that our own domestic National Privacy Commission will be presenting.
Though ... even with a domestic Privacy law and a commission to oversee and help
enforce that law, compliance is still very weak.
