Dear all,
According to the legislation in our country non-for-profit association
can accept members only if they declare in writting or on the
meeting that they accept the chapter Bylaws (this document must
beapproved by the legal local authorities). So, we had restricted the
mailing list of the ISOC.SI
members to few dozen compared to the list residuing on the AMS page (
with many not
veryfied people from abroad without any sign that they are interested or
are following our work). Being heavily criticized for not including these
people we enlarged the current mailing list, but this did not solved
the problem, some of the addresses are not working (returned mail), but
I am sure as wel as that most of the mails to these people are just lost
"in the space". So, following the exchange of the opinions on this list
regarding that
problem among ISOC members it is a time this issue to be further
elaborated and more real approach to the ISOC membership in line
with national attitudes to be adopted, especially if we take in
account the current number of ISOC members.
With regards,
Borka
