Dear Chapter Leaders:

This is to provide you with information on ISOC's 2016 Board of Trustees
Elections. As announced by Nominations Committee Chair Narelle Clark, the
final slate for the Chapters election is as follows:

- Olga Cavalli

- Mohamed El Bashir

- Andrey Kolesnikov

Electronic ballots will be sent to all voting representatives on 21 March,
officially marking the start of voting. Voting representatives will have
until 20 April at 15:00 UTC to cast their ballots. If you do not know who
the voting representative is for your Chapter, do not hesitate to contact
Joyce Dogniez, ISOC Director of Chapters ( <mailto:dogniez at isoc.org>
dogniez at isoc.org).

In this year's election cycle, Organization Members will elect two Trustees;
Chapters will elect one Trustee. (The IETF will also select one Trustee,
following the appointment process documented in RFC 3677.) All new Trustees
will serve three-year terms commencing in June.

To help you learn about the candidates and their views on various issues
impacting the Internet Society, we have assembled a number of resources for
your information and use.

Candidate Bios

Each candidate was invited to submit a biographical summary. Please take
time to consider the experience and backgrounds of the candidates for the
Chapters election. The candidate bios can be found at the links at:

Candidate Forum

To facilitate dialogue between Chapter Leaders and candidates for the
Chapters election, the Elections Committee is again hosting an online
Candidate Forum. Please use the Forum to further familiarize yourself with
the candidates so that you can provide your voting representative with
useful input on the choices the election presents. The Forum, on ISOC's
Connect platform, enables each candidate to post an election statement, and
to answer questions posed by the Elections Committee and by you, Chapter
Leaders. Please watch your email inbox for an invitation and link to join
the 2016 Candidate Forum for Chapters.

Participants in the Candidate Forum will be expected to observe the same
Code of Conduct which applies to all other ISOC communities and discussions
on Connect. The Code can be found at:
