Dave-
I completely support your position, as it is a good example of shared
leadership as it demonstrates -by way of economic empowerment- the
multistakeholder nature of our organization. As for the accountability,
your comment is spot on...transparency is not a complicated issue provided
there is a will to do/be so.
My only suggestion would be to make sure that expenditures are directly
tied to ISOC's mission statement, and, as Carlos said, fostering change at
the local chapter level, none of which should be difficult to support or
implement.
