[Chapter-delegates] ISOC-NY President Resigns

It is indeed sad to see a community leader leave an organizational position
this way. It would have been good if there was a sustainable way to retain
full-time community leaders, at least in bigger Chapters (for on a regional
basis).

Our Chapter, ISOC-TRV, is small (105 members). As a small chapter, it has
been clear to us that Chapter leadership positions are on voluntary,
part-time basis. It has also been made clear to us that ISOC will not
support costs of human resources (although chapter activities may be
funded). The flip side of this arrangement, of course, is that the time
available from leaders is only what they can spare. I am not sure if this
is an ideal situation.

While thanking David on his contributions in NY, it would be useful if ISOC
can support him in mentoring smaller chapters like ours (on a project basis
for a period of a couple of years, for instance).
