Anyway, this proposal was a very good experience of ISOC chapters working together.
Congratulations Alejandro for your effort on that.
Let’s see in the future how ISOC staff can help more in this kind of collaborative works.
Best,
Raúl

Hi,
we were able to put together a small consortium from chapter delegates and members who responded to the call and submit a proposal. Yesterday we got notice that we weren't awarded the project. As Evan has said already, we are curious to see who does the study.

Hi there.
Does anyone else have any updates on this?
I was involved with one proposal that received its rejection letter this week. In fact, the response was ambiguous whether it was just this specific proposal that failed, or whether UNESCO had decided not to proceed at all with the project.
I will be interesting to see who, if anyone, gets the contract. Sometimes, even in an "open" bidding process, the winner is known before the RFP is published. :-P

People,
I apologize for huge delay in this matter - studying a possible consortium among chapter delegates to make a proposal in UNESCO's RFP on Internet governance.
We would need to put together a proposal in zero time now - the deadline is awfully close. We have four days.
My proposed action right now is to evaluate if we still can make it. I need the CVs of all who will actually take part and a mention of what function you would undertake in the project (policy analysis, information gathering, report drafting, project management, etc.; costs associated with your participation; and a declaration of interest that allows to decide whether there is any conflict with ISOC, your Chapter, or other that would need to be considered.)
ISOC staff has kindly provided a mailing list which I will populate with those willing to participate. I recognize that this is very late stage - travel and its consequences took a toll - and that in the next 48 hours we could also have to declare a no-go.
Apologies again and also THANKS to those who have volunteered.
Alejandro Pisanty
