Hi Charles,

Thanks a lot for your message!

We definitely have the possibility of creating a Community per chapter in Connect where the chapter members could interact and engage at chapter level.

Having said that we will only open Connect to all members as from the 2nd of June. As you may have read we wanted to launch the platform in stages to allow for the chapter leaders and the Advisory Council to familiarise with the system and get your initial feedback before launching to the members.

We would welcome chapter communities and communities of interest going forward, but did not want to segment the discussions too much in the initial launch phase.

If you can hold this for another two weeks (and let us launch for the full membership), I'd be happy to have a discussion on how to best move forward right after that.

Please let us know if your request is time sensitive though.

I will post some more details on Connect on what is possible with a chapter community in the next week, so that it can be of use to all chapters going forward.

RE; THE NEED FOR A DISCUSSION FORUM - MAILING LIST

I hope you are well. I wish to inform you that lack of an AMS integrated discussion mailing list is somehow affecting our online discussion on pertinent issues.

The current discussion on the isoc-request at orion.my.co.ke<mailto:isoc-request at orion.my.co.ke> ,mailing lists are purely by subscription, hence a majority of ISOC members on the AMS who are not subscribed to the orion list cannot receive nor participate in any topical discussion, like the KiGF.

The scenario of having a discussion mailing list that is integrated with the AMS would therefore enhance participation and contribution by a larger ISOC Kenya membership.

Can this feature be considered so that it can enhance communication among the members
