This is from a press release by Fight for the Future, from the page:
http://fight4future.tumblr.com/post/85736930353/breaking-fcc-chair-tom-wheeler-comes-out-to-meet-with
Their protest is to "to shape the future of the Internet as an open,
democratic tool with equal access to all — real net neutrality.", and they
are demanding the "Internet reclassified as a common-carrier"
What are the positive implications of reclassifying the Internet as a
"common-carrier"? Is the terminology unambiguous?
( I am not part of Fight for the Future, nor am I a participant in the
protest, but this protest appears meaningful, despite the size of the
gathering, and FCC seems to be listening. So, trying to understand if the
finer connotations of the language of this demand, which might be
considered by FCC.)
