Hi Glenn
I'll take a look at the links thank you.
Olivier had a fight on his hands with the live streaming. He and Joly
collaborated brilliantly in a very geeky way to deal with the problems
at the venue.
For posterity the UK event was recorded separately using the
Parliamentary in house audio services. This recording is being made
available as soon as possible. Hopefully also this will be mixed with
the video Olivier took to give a more polished result.
One key challenge is the events we do or cover are not in venues we
control. Also they almost always need multiple mics and sometimes
multiple cameras. Each venue have their own policies and neither
equipment nor Internet access is a given.
The other issue we had yesterday evening is that the room we were
allocated had a meeting ending exactly as ours was due to start and we
had no access prior to set things up. With three senior politicians in
the room baying to speak our moderator Matt Warman of the Telegraph
needed to get things going so I decided to proceed before Olivier and
Jolly and the Parliamentary events people were able to get themselves
fully up and running for the live stream.
So you can blame me! I'm sorry if people found the experience using the
webinar tools less than ideal. I hope though that when we can release
the in house recordings it will more than make up for it. It is very
good to hear there was interest amongst other chapters. Thank you for that.
best
Christian
