[Chapter-delegates] ICANN and the ietf meeting in London March 2-7

Hi,

Steve Crocker's blog suggests that this a one-off event, with ICANN
sponsoring a meeting in the manner that a local host would. Given the major
meeting that ICANN will host in London in June, it likely has many of the
logistical issues already accommodated.

This appears to be a goodwill gesture stemming from the recent
collaborations between ISOC, ICANN and others which have led to the
Montevideo Statement, the 1Net website, the Brazil governance meeting, and
perhaps beyond.

There are many things of which ICANN may be legitimately accused, but
trying to overtake the ISOC role in the IETF is not one of them, IMO. ICANN
has enough if its own problems right now.

Cheers,

- Evan
