Dear Charles Oloo, Evan and All,
This is the second time Olivier has spent time on our Elections, last time
together with Louise Houle and Leslie Allinson.
The election committee this year has been reconstituted with Maureen and
Janvier as Members and included three of our Members. Naveed from Chapters
came forward to provide all administrative support as required as also
served the Committee as an Observer.
I opened up all records for the Election Committee to inspect, subscribed
them to the mailing list, Olivier as a Moderator, sent him the password to
the Chapter portal and shared with him for the required transparency, every
little information related to approval of members, renewal of members and
even the criteria for approval of members, though this was not required nor
called for, from within the Chapter or ISOC or by the voting committee.
With a level of commitment characteristic of larger elections, Olivier,
together with Maureen and Janveer with Administrative support from Naveed
together with voting committee volunteers from our Chapter, ensured that
this task was non-trivially carried out.
We are profoundly thankful to all of them.
