Hi
We completed a very successful event in Oshawa, Ontario Canada today on our
Family Day a holiday in the middle of winter( same as the US dead
president's day)

Our event was originally going to be very geeky-hacker but we decided to
broaden the creativity beyond the computer sphere since computing impacts
everyone and the issues of privacy, Net Neutrality and more impacts
everyone.

We also wanted to have a free event for the vendors and the audience. This
is a challenge but it does work. I would encourage the ISOC Chapters to
embrace this type of event as a public outreach beyond the university
focused events. Pictures will be posted and video coming as well

If anyone is interested in this approach let me know.
