Many of you are IEEE members  or interested in the activities of the IEEE
Sections  in your  country.   In Canada  are chapter is  Region 7 and spans
Canada  and is 4% of the  IEEE membership of over 400,000.      www.ieee.org

For your information   IEEE  has created a  program to establish  SIGHT
 locations.

Special  Interest  Groups on Humanitarian Technologies (SIGHT)

Note  that  the mandate of IEEE  is to  bring the benefits of technology to
the entire world.

Since  ISOC's  vision  is  "Internet for Everyone"   I believe some of you
might be interested in forming  a SIGHT  group in your location.  All you
need is an idea and  8 signatures of reps or student branches.

If you are not  IEEE  members  I would suggest  linking up with your  local
IEEE  Chapters to form a  SIGHT  location

A small about  of  seed funds are available as a start but it  taps you
into your  local  region and chapter for future support and expertise.
