[Chapter-delegates] 2013 Slate for the Internet Society Board of Trustees Elections

Hi Veni

I certainly am, and at least two others have been in the past!

Chapters can choose what contacts they put into the database to receive
the chapter-delegates email list, and we in Australia have (what seems
like) half our board!

By way of justification, the ones we have included are office bearers and
in active roles, eg leading Special Interest Groups (SIGs). So it really
doesn't have to be restricted to your voting contacts. In that sense, it
also keeps us honest - other members of the chapter leadership know what's
going on more broadly. Eg the voting schedule, so when voting comes around
I won't be the only one who knows, particularly as I am on the slate.

I would encourage other chapters to do likewise, as it really stimulates
discussion within the chapter when we compare with what others are
doing/experiencing etc. Also it's a great way to cross check the views of
other chapters when it comes to Internet initiatives within our own
geography.
