[Chapter-delegates] Membership Database Maintenance

Hi, Evan,

What will happen for now is that a duplicate record will be created. Within the upcoming additional phases of our database maintenance it is envisioned to implement a de-cupping process. The idea will be to take all multiple records with identical first and last names and merge them without destroying any data (to the extent possible. There is room for three email addresses per record but not so cell phone #s or home addresses. Presumably those duplicates will be far fewer.)

So don't worry for now. But it may be that those with two email addresses will receive messages at both and so at some point we will need to fix it.

Great to have you on board!

Ted

Any email address that returns four "hard bounces" to our system will flag that member record as "unreachable". At the end of four weeks we will unsubscribe all such records in the database from receiving email from ISOC, and we will cancel these memberships.
