[Chapter-delegates] IGF 2013 Cancelled

Dear Markus Kummer

I find it difficult to believe that a nation as large as Indonesia would
withdraw from the opportunity to host the IGF due to difficulties in
raising $2 million.

If it is indeed true, for any other reason, we could host the IGF in India.
Some Internet Governance participants from Government and Industry have
repeatedly expressed an interest in hosting the IGF, but what refrained
India from expressing an interest is that fact that we hosted the 2008 IGF,
so may have to wait for a year or two before making our bid.

If Indonesia concedes this opportunity even now, I feel that there would be
sufficient interest in India to bring together the necessary arrangements
and host an uncompromising event, despite the limitations of time.

I am also separately forwarding this to a fellow participant and potential
sponsor.
