I take this mail from the ISOC Japan Chapter to comment - I could have
taken also several others that relate to the same issue: lack of
coordinated attention at the ISOC headquarters.

This important, but not structured or coordinated discussion reminds me
that many months ago we had a similar round on the Chapters list, even
with suggestions that ISOC might decide to assist this process by
agreeing to use an issue tracing platform. Some such had been in use for
some time, but ISOC staff did not provide -- unless I missed it -- a
clear guidance which instrument will be used consistently, that means of
course: Which instrument would be regularly read by ISOC staff and get
responses, so that all involved and all interested could get easy access
to see the status of ongoing issues getting attention.

I remember the following platforms were used at certain times for
tracking issues:

https://mantis.tools.isoc.org <https://mantis.tools.isoc.org/>

Used sometimes for AMS issues.

https://github.com/InternetSociety/isoc-wp/

Used for WP development issues.

And, somewhat differently, there was Elena Zvarici's

*Chapters Collaboration Platform*

http://www.anuntul.eu/

Also Christine Saegesser Baethge and Anne Lord had been starting to use
it -- but then the initiative did not seem to get any more interest and
attention from ISOC staff. The platform was structured with the
following sections:

      Discussion Groups

    Geneva Workshop Participants
    <http://www.anuntul.eu/wordpress/groups/spirit-of-unity/>
    Spirit of Unity
    <http://www.anuntul.eu/wordpress/groups/european-chapters-coordination/>
    European Chapters Coordination
    <http://www.anuntul.eu/wordpress/groups/ipv6-adoption/>
    IPv6 <http://www.anuntul.eu/wordpress/groups/ipv6-adoption/>

This collaborative effort, where specific concerns had a place for
common engagement, is now almost dead.

I would strongly appeal for a new effort to agree and then to use such
platforms, and I think *a common issue tracking system* should get high
priority attention. Mantis seemed to work fine. I sincerely hope that we
will soon all know that there is a simple issue tracking system in use
by ISOC, which gets appropriate attention by ISOC staff.

And the Map of Chapters concerns - quite a lot of different ones have
been raised so far - could then get a common place, and we all could see
how the issues raised are being discussed and move towards clarifications.
