Sorry to be a bit late getting back to you.

I've included some verbiage immediately following this email describing
what SF Bay Chapter is contemplating organizing for 2013. That does not
include a potential INET in early October on IP protection and the
internet. Nor does it include an event we will help the InterPlanetary
Networking Special Interest Group (IPNSIG) put on this summer or fall
(depending upon Vint Cerf's travel schedule).

Campus Party has indeed delayed its plans for a Campus Party Silicon
Valley. It's been pushed out to what seems likely to be early summer of
2014. Their ability to have the event hosted at NASA Ames in Mountain View,
California became very doubtful. NASA senior management seems pretty
focused on selling Hangar One and similar properties on the old Moffett
Field Naval Air Station. Moffett Field is an Environmental Protection
Agency Super Fund site, and that is potentially being exacerbated by the
retrofit of Hangar One. That is a huge aircraft hangar built in the 1930's
to house the USS Macon-- a US Navy dirigible that was only 20 ft. shorter
than the Hindenburg (and launched and recovered scout aircraft while in
flight).

They continue to partner with NASA for educational purposes even though the
event will no longer occur at a NASA facility and are  now looking to host
the event in San Francisco, probably in June of 2014. We continue to
partner with them in reaching out to colleges and universities in Northern
and Central California, and hope to help the InterPlanetary Networking
Special Interest Group have a visible presence there.
