There is a Memorandum of Understanding between our two organizations which outlines the concepts of cooperation and collaboration but does not, by design, outline specific operational parameters of ISOC or for ISOC Chapters. Campus Party leadership has always envisioned that Campuseros would engage with our Chapters to identify and address areas of common interest and perhaps even join local ISOC chapters. There is therefore a great deal of flexibility for forming the events and collaboration locally around local issues. There is no formal procedure that you or any chapter are asked to follow. Rather, the opportunity is to connect and act locally with the support of both ISOC and Campus Party Staff.
Meeting with the Costa Rica Campus Party organizers and exploring the areas of common local and global interest is the right next step toward planning joint activities.
All the best,
Ted

They have been supporting the program committee since the early beginning. Last year ISOC did the regional IPv6 week during CP and this year an entire ISOC day was focused on Internet Governance. The local chapter prepared a great agenda with relevant speakers throughout the day. Both were successful experiences.

Just as Campus Party's #somethingbetter movement is working towards using technology responsibly, the Internet Society's Community Grants program, Chapter work around the globe and research promotes open development, evolution, and use of the Internet for the benefit of all people throughout the world."

What does the group recommend as a tangible/specific next step in order to start conversations with Campus Party (within the framework of the partnership with ISOC) in order to plan an event in Costa Rica? (I have the direct contact of Paco Ragales, but would like to get to him once I have a specific action plan)
