Just was looking at our Brazil Chapter and thought I'd share their model (in Portuguese).

One example of my previous life, the Chicago chapter of MPI:

Most chapters would look for annual partners (have a guaranteed income for the year) and then for event or project sponsors. In terms of benefits it's obviously very different from chapter to chapter based on what you can offer. (website visibility, access to members, event presence, etc…).

In my experience or a successful sponsorship and/or partnership model to work it is crucial to clearly articulate the value to the sponsors / partners. You are providing value to them, and for them to choose to invest with you, they need to be able to see the potential return.
