The DC Chapter has been quite active.

Last night (September 20) the Chapter co-hosted an event with Google DC at
their Washington DC headquarters about "The Elections and Internet Policy."
The discussion was compelling and substantive.

Looking forward we will be co-hosting an event on October 16th with HacDC
with the working title "A White Hat Perspective on Internet Security", and
on October 31st we have an important panel discussion on the WCIT featuring
the US Ambassador to the WCIT, Terry Kramer (stay tuned, other panelists
tba shortly). Additionally, in  mid November the Chapter will host a
discussion about the future of journalism

We are on track to continue hosting 2 events/month during the fall and
winter plus our we will keep up our monthly happy hours  on the third
Tuesday of every month (these are in fact quite happy, and have spawned
many a great idea!) Videos of our recent events are available on ISOC's
LiveStream Channel (thanks to the rather impressive ongoing efforts of Joly
MacFie) and upcoming events will be streamed live and available online
afterwards.
