[Chapter-delegates] ISOC WCIT Submission

Hello, 

Today, the Internet Society submitted a contribution on WCIT through the ITU's public comment process.  The contribution may also be found on our website: http://www.internetsociety.org/doc/WCITSubmissionOctober2012. 

This submission builds on the body of ISOC work over the last year, including the recent statements by the ISOC Board of Trustees and views shared within the ISOC community, including on our discussion lists.  In this document, we strive to outline a positive way forward for the ITRs; to emphasize the things that have worked in the field of telecommunications; to make a case for why the Internet should not fall within the scope of the ITRs; and, to highlight specific proposals where the Internet Society has strong positions.    

Importantly, the last section outlines views on some of the proposals made to the WCIT thus far.
