Finland supports free and open Internet 100%, no problem with that.
I have being closely involved as well.
Internet access is one of the human rights in Finland, even prisoners
have right to access it. Of course, the right comes with responsibility
such as we do have working policies to fight online crime.
Of course I understand that we need to wave the flag for open Internet
and situation with Internet varies around the world. My point is, that
for Nordic countries, if not the whole Europe and U.S., upcoming
decisions by ITU are not necessarily reflecting to current practises. They
may
never reflect, or if outcome is really bad, we just continue the way we do
today
and see if the rest of the world follows us, in the long run anyway.
