IPv6 Launch Day falls flat in Belgium
Thursday 7 June 2012 | 10:52 CET | News
The Internet Society Belgium said that IPv6 Launch Day has not generated much enthousiasm in the country, DataNews reported. President Rudi Vansnick confirmed that no major ISP in Belgium took part in the initiative. Only Belnet and edpnet have proposed IPv6 to their customers. According to the report, sites such as belgium.be, fgov.be, fedict.be and vlaanderen.be are not yet ready for IPv6. On the other hand, wallon awt.be seems to be. The Internet Society Belgium published a list of 41 companies and organisations which took part in the Launch Day. The list did not include either Agoria nor Beltug.
