what a major LOSS for us and ISOC. It hurts.

Your support, patience, clarity of view, focus on the goals, kindness, ability to communicate and in particular to listen, and deep understanding have helped forward the individual chapter's as well as ISOC's large-scale goals simultaneously, building from each onto the other. Your contribution will be unforgettable, both for the many concrete steps and projects and for the way you've made interacting with you a pleasure whilst we strive to achieve better results with your motivation. 

I am sure I express the feelings of many, both on this list and outside it, in every chapter, in thanking you for all you have given us and ISOC and wishing you the absolute top very best as you go forward. May others find you soon to the benefit of their organizations!!

Asunto: [Chapter-delegates] A change of direction for a while... Leaving        ISOC

hi Everyone,

I am writing to let you know that I have resigned from ISOC effective
July 13th. I've decided to take a year long career break.  I need to
prepare with my partner for a move to Europe in 2013 for work and to
be closer to my parents. Along the way, we will also enjoy some time
off travelling.

Truly, it has been a real pleasure to work with this community over
the last 6 years. Yes, it has been challenging at times, but for sure
it was never dull! :).

Chapters rock!  What a wonderfully unique, talented and diverse
network of people from all over the world!  You do great things, and I
am always inspired and in awe of what is achieved.  I have made lots
of new friends and it has been a privilege to support you and give
strength to your voice. There is still plenty of "work in progress" to
help the support the Chapters. I am happy to leave you in the very
capable hands of the Chapter Support team, Ted Mooney and the Regional
Bureau Directors.

I will most definitely miss working with you all and look forward to
being able to do so again at some point in the future.   If anyone
would like to stay in touch, please contact me off list for my private
email address.

lots of success in your Chapter :)
