Hi Patrick,

 

I agree and support your position. Chapters have to put those communications
requirements as their top priorities and see how to achieve it themselves
than waiting for ISOC Global to do it.

Anyway.  This only proves that ISOC should offer web/e-mail hosting to
chapters which cannot afford it.

On the same subject, having a "@chaptername.isoc.org" e-mail address would
certainly help the chapter's credibility towards the local community, rather
than advertising Yahoo/GMail/Hotmail addresses 
The basic option is to create  an e-mail alias. This has *no cost* at all,
other than the one minute needed to set it up.
