[Chapter-delegates] Think global - act local - 22-24 april - Global Inet - Local Internet Springs - Re: Announcing Global INET 2012!

Like Ted I believe it is a good plan for Chapters to also run local events
that celebrate the anniversary.  My concern is that, during the 22-24
period, they may distract from the point of a Global INET - the idea that
we all get together, be it in person or online. And also peclude remote
participation in the local events.

Also, we do, at present only have one webcast channel. We could upgrade
temporarily to multiple channels for one month, but it would be expensive.

The IGF uses 'hubs' as a method of communal remote participation. Perhaps
some variation on that for the Global INET, plus a seaparate schedule of
local followup events over the course of the year might be the way to go.
