Narelle, while primary research is taboo, and subjects of biological
articles are held to higher standard on neutrality and verifiabilty, there
exist superseding principles: 1) be bold, and 2) if you see something
questionable that is not reliably sourced, delete it.


While I agree with Eduard that promoting open academia is desirable, I
disagree as to the value, and accuracy, of Wikipedia. For every unvalidated
fact there are a 1000 edit wars over other minutiae. Much of it over what
doesn't merit inclusion.

I am sure Jumbo, as he is known, will relate how his original intent was
very much along the lines of Eduard's thinking, however it just didn't get
off the ground. Only when the rigor was dumped did the whole thing take off.
