Its not just Facebook. Google+ also wants a square-ish logo/photo.
Now, we could argue that the artificial limitation to a roughly-square logo is a
legacy holdover from the time when it was supposed to be a real face, and debate who
needs to change what for a few more months or years....or we could just buy some
timber, build a bridge, and get over it.
